Visibility

There is a lot of value in advertising that can guarantee you impressions. Once you know your target audience, you can appropriately plan for your ad’s locale. You’ll want an outdoor media partner that does its due diligence. This will ensure that your ad is placed in the most visible locations.

Certain obstructions, both man made or natural, are inevitable. That’s why picking your location carries such heavy implications. You wouldn’t want to have your captivating ad hidden under an ill=placed tree. Likewise, you’ll want to ensure that the location garners attention. A low-traffic area can be as bad for visibility as the tree.

What does a good outdoor media partner look like?

There are many ways to determine the visibility of a billboard location. Adept outdoor media brands will have a strong understanding of available nearby boards. For example, take Bill’s approach noted in the clip above.

Bill Hobbs is the founder of Effortless Outdoor Media advertising. He employs a detailed system for tracking and evaluating quality billboard opportunities. He has active knowledge of every billboard in the Metro Atlanta area, which total to roughly 3,000. He’s also taken stock of spaces just outside of the city for those not in the perimeter. If there’s quality space high in visibility in your target audience’s area, he can help you find it.

Need out of home advertising?

There are a few considerations to keep in mind when selecting outdoor advertising. First, decide whether static or digital ads are right for you. This boils down to many factors, including how often your ad will need changing, budget, and more. Typically vinyl ads are cheaper, but digital options carry their own benefits as well.

Jason Sirotin:

Hi, I’m Jason Sirotin. Today, I’m speaking with Bill Hobbs, who is the owner and proprietor, managing director, everything of Effortless Outdoor Media, which is a outdoor media advertising placement company. How do you ensure that your clients get boards that are visible?

Bill Hobbs:

I actually have been doing this for about 30 years, so I know every billboard in the Atlanta area. There’s about 3,000 billboards. I know all of them. Then if it’s out of the Atlanta area, I’ll either drive by the location, if it’s within three or four hours, or if it’s a further distance, I use Google Maps and you can do a virtual drive by the billboard to see what’s in front of it, to see if it’s wide open and visible. That way, I assure the clients are on the best locations for their campaign.
