Podcast Clip #28: Image Resolution

Clip Transcript:

Jason Sirotin:

Hi, I’m Jason Sirotin, and today I’m speaking with Bill Hobbs, who is the owner and proprietor, managing director, everything of Effortless Outdoor Media, which is a outdoor media advertising placement company. What resolution image do I need for a billboard?

Bill Hobbs:

Usually you want about 300 by 500 DPI, if three by five is the size, but anybody I work with, usually I would design the artwork, but I do have some agencies we work with or clients that they’ll design the artwork. I’ll kind of give them input as far as what type of artwork they should use. I have a spec sheet I send them that has the type of format it needs to be in, the resolution, all that, to make it really simple, but 90% of the time I would be doing the artwork for it.

Jason Sirotin:

Bill, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us today. We really appreciate it. If you’re interested in learning more about what Bill has to offer, you can visit him online at effortlessoutdoormedia.com, and you can email him at bhobbs, that’s [email protected]
